1. Application for admission

The Master’s degrees are permanent and recurring programmes of high-level academic specialisation, leading to a certificate with legal value.

The Master’s degrees may be

  • 1st level, with a minimum admission requisite of Bachelor’s degree
  • 2nd level (Specialist), with a minimum admission requisite of Master’s degree

On the Postgraduate page of the Department website, you can find the list of Master’s degrees offered at DISUM.

The UPO website offers the complete list of Master’s degrees available at the University, divided into 1st and 2nd level categories.

To apply for a course, please refer to the notice published for each individual master's degree, which indicates the admission requirements, deadlines (relating to admission, publication of the ranking results and registration), the list of documentation to be attached to the application, and the delivery methods.

It is necessary to attach the signed privacy policy to the application, even if not specifically stated in the announcement.

Generally, the application form should be accompanied by at least:

  • Academic qualifications obtained in Italy: According to current legislation, it is necessary to self-certify to the Public Administration the possession of qualifications; they cannot request/accept original or copy certificates, thus it is necessary to send a self-certification statement testifying to any declared qualifications (diploma, degree, etc.), indicating all exams taken and related marks regarding the degree qualification.

N.B. It is possible to request certification of achievement of the qualification with the exams taken from the Secretariat of the University where the qualification was obtained.

  • Foreign academic qualifications: original foreign qualification complete with legalised translation and declaration of value or, alternatively, declaration of compatibility issued by CIMEA, unless otherwise indicated in the announcement of the individual Master's degree (these documents will in any case need to be submitted in the original version at the time of enrolment; the documents must be delivered to the university exactly as they were issued by the institution concerned, without removing any stitching or bindings. Any open/loose packages will not be accepted).
  • Curriculum Vitae, dated and signed. This must contain an explicit declaration that the information contained therein is provided pursuant to and for the purposes of articles 46 and 47 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, as well as express reference to the processing of personal data pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and EU Regulation 2016/679;
  • double-sided scan of a valid identity document and tax code card
  • Privacy Policy for the Master’s.

Contemporary enrolment on another course (double enrolment)

As of academic year 2022/2023, according to Law no. 33/2022 and M.D.s 930/2022 and 933/2022, students may enrol for two separate courses simultaneously.

In the event that, in addition to being accepted to the Master’s programme, you are simultaneously enrolled in another university course of study, it is necessary to declare this using the "self-certification of simultaneous enrolment in another course" form, here attached.

Application to attend as auditor

Some Master's courses activated at the Department offer the possibility of enrolling as auditors, providing a possible certificate of attendance but not the Master's degree; this may occur, for example, if one does not possess the requisites required for admission to the degree.

N.B. This possibility does not extend to all courses; if it exists, it will be stated in the Rectoral Decree of establishment and activation of the Master’s degree.

If you wish to register as an auditor, you are required to specify this clearly on the admission application, using the "application form for admission for auditors" and attaching all the documentation requested in the D.R. of establishment and activation of the Master’s, including the "substitute declaration for auditors" and the "Privacy Policy for the Master’s".
