As of 2015-2016, the three-year Bachelor’s degree in Literature allows you to attend lessons also in Alessandria. The lessons are held in Palazzo Borsaino (via Cavour 84, Alessandria). The course in Alessandria is activate also thanks to the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria.

The three-year Bachelor’s degree in Literature (Literature and Humanities) Course code L-10 is open to all (no capped number admission).

You have the opportunity to obtain a bi-national double degree in partnership with the Université de Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambéry.

The course lasts 3 years (full-time) or 4 or 6 years (part-time).

To obtain the degree you must achieve 180 academic credits.

The course

The degree programme in Literature offers a foundation in the disciplines on which humanistic knowledge is based: classical Greek and Latin, Italian studies (Italian language and literary culture), the history of the Italian language, philology, political history. social, geography, archeology and art history. A specific path is planned for the "Cultural Heritage" area. Basic courses are offered in the fields of Italian literature, Italian language, philology and linguistics, history, geography, and classical studies. In the II and III year you will be able to follow courses in which more specific themes and methodological issues will be addressed.

In the third full-time year, the course allows you to take a linguistic qualification for 3 academic credits. All details are attached (at the bottom of the page).

Study Plans

Teacher-Tutor

During your studies you are followed by a teacher-tutor who is assigned to you by the Literature course Academic Board from among the teachers and researchers of your course. The nomination is made after the Student Admin office has communicated to the Teaching Office your completed enrolment.

Notice for all students enrolled in 2020-2021 cohort and subsequent

As of 2020-2021, to take the final exam all students must take the first four modules of the online Bibliolab course. Laboratory on basic Information skills

The certificate of completion of the course must be attached to the application for graduation. The activity takes place online and a self-assessment test is provided at the end of each module. Progress to the next module is subject to passing the end-of-module test. After completing the first 4 modules, the student will be able to download and print a certificate, to be attached to the graduation application, thus proving that they have completed the required task.

Exemption. At this moment in time, the Literature course L-10 has not approved any exemption from the BIBLIOLAB course.
