aa) Admission and registration requirements
Degree course Foreign Languages, Cultures, Tourism - (Double degree) - academic year 23/24
The degree is OPEN ACCESS (no capped number restrictions).
Before enrolling, contact the Course Chair, Prof. Elisabetta Lonati - presidenza.lct@uniupo.it to check that you satisfy the admission requirements according to the degree certificate and list of exams taken (send by email to the Chair).
After the check, you will be issued with authorisation (you will find the forms to fill out in the attachment, at the bottom of this page) which you will have to attach during the online registration procedure.
Admission to Master's Degree (LM49) in Design and Management of Tourism Systems
Students in possession of a Bachelor’s degree from the following courses are automatically admitted to the LM-49 course:

- Foreign languages and literatures (L-11)
- Tourism Sciences, (L-15)
- Linguistic mediation (L-12)
- Communication Sciences (L-20)
- Humanities (L-10)
- Political Sciences of International Relations (L-36)
- Geography (L-6)
- Economic Sciences (L-33)
- Economics and Business Management Studies (L-18)
- DAMS (L-3)
or in an equivalent class of the previous system (as per Ministerial Decree of 27 July 2007).
For graduates from other three-year Bachelor programmes, it is required that they have obtained at least 12 credits in the two languages chosen from those studied in the course of Languages, Cultures and Tourism (English L-LIN/12, Spanish L-LIN/07, French L-LIN/04, German L-LIN/14), and 18 credits among the following: M-STO, M-GGR, M-DEA, SECS-P/07, SEC-P/08; SECS-P/01, SECS-P/12, SPS/08, L-ART.
Before enrolment, an orientation interview is scheduled which aims both to explain the educational path and guide you in drafting your study plan.
After enrolment, a test/interview is required to assess the language level of all new students who do not come from a bachelor’s degree in class L-11 or L-12 (or those who come from such courses of study but obtained a degree grade of less than 103 points), provided that they are not bachelor graduates in "Modern Foreign Languages" from the University of Eastern Piedmont.
The test/interview to assess the language level is also required for graduates who obtained the L-11 or L-12 three-year degree more than five years before enrolment.
The result of the test is not binding; it is not considered a prerequisite for access, and does not result in grade debits.
Based on the outcome of the interview, the student may be assigned the task of obtaining further credits in foreign languages among Other Activities of the study plan if the commission deems it necessary.
Admission to Master's Degree (LM37) in Modern European and American Languages and Literatures
Students in possession of a Bachelor’s degree from the following courses are automatically admitted to the LM-37 course:
- Foreign languages and literatures (L-11)
- Tourism Studies, (L-15)
- Linguistic Mediation (L-12)
- Communication Sciences (L-20)
- Humanities (L-10)
- Political Sciences of International Relations (L-36)
- Geography (L-6)
- Economic Sciences (L-33)
- Economics and Business Management Studies (L-18)
- DAMS (L-3)
provided that they have obtained at least 15 university credits in the language sector for each of the two languages chosen from those studied in Languages, Cultures, and Tourism (English L-LIN/12, Spanish L- LIN/07, French L- LIN/04, German L-LIN/14).
For graduates from other bachelor degrees, it is required that they have obtained at least 15 university credits in the language sector for each of the two languages chosen from those studied in Languages, Cultures, and Tourism (English L-LIN/12, Spanish L-LIN/07, French L-LIN/04, German L-LIN/14) and 18 credits among the following SSDs: M-STO, M-GGR, M-DEA, SECS-P/07, SECS-P /08; SECS-P/01, SECS-P/12, SPS/08, L-ART.

Incoming orientation - Methods and interviews
For specific information relating to incoming orientation, send an email to the Course Manager, Prof. Laurence Audéoud and, at the same time (in copy), to the address presidenza.lct@uniupo.it.
Students who wish to enrol in LM 37 or LM 49 must send the documentation relating to their previous studies (Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree(s), etc.).
Based on the documentation presented, an individual interview will be scheduled in which all detailed information on the training courses and the possibilities they offer can be provided (courses and study plans, professional opportunities, procedures, international mobility, opportunities to take advantage of part-time courses, etc.)
After enrolment, interviews or tests (non-selective) will be scheduled to assess skills in the different linguistic areas. More information on the tests will be available from September 2023 in the following section: Admission Interviews and/or incoming language assessment tests.

Spanish

The tests to assess and verify Spanish language skills will take place starting from October. To carry out the test, you need to make an appointment with Prof. Andrea Baldissera by writing to: andrea.baldissera@uniupo.it.

Interviews to verify German language skills will take place starting from the end of September. To do the interview, you must make an appointment by writing to: miriam.ravetto@uniupo.it
