CISPEA – Interuniversity Centre of Euro-American History and Politics

CISPEA is the first Italian and European inter-university centre in the field of historical-political studies on the United States, and was founded by American historians from member universities.

Its purposes are the scientific analysis and public debate on US history and politics in the context of relations between European nations and the United States.

CISPEA promotes the dissemination of scientific studies and public discussion on these issues. The Centre was founded by a group of Italian historians specialised in the history of the United States of America, but is open to the contributions and collaboration of European and American scholars interested in transatlantic relations in its many aspects.
