24 Pre-competition Credits

The "Government Budget Law for the 2019 financial year and multi-year budget for the three-year period 2019-2021", published in the Official Gazette as Law 145/18, amends the legislation on recruitment of teaching staff in middle and high schools.

Law no.145/18, paragraph 792, intervenes in particular on the legislative decree 13 April 2017, no. 59 which established the FIT path, repealing this procedure and providing instead for an "Annual path of initial training and testing" which can be accessed by competition.

Participation in the competition is subject to possession of the requirements for the category and 24 university credits (ECTS) in specific fields. The Law establishes that these credits can be acquired during university studies, in a curricular or additional form, including first and second level university Masters, research doctorates and specialisation schools, as well as those relating to single extra-curricular exams.

The decree currently in force concerning the 24 credits is MD no. 616 of 10 August 2017 which defined the Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) for the following areas:

  • Area A – Pedagogy, special needs pedagogy and inclusive teaching
  • Area B – Psychology
  • Area C – Anthropology
  • Area D – Teaching methodologies and technologies

Specifically, the MD no. 616 of 10 August 2017 requires achievement of at least 6 credits in at least 3 of the 4 areas.

Methods of achieving the 25 Pre-competition Credits

The 24 credits, or part of these, can be achieved with:

  1. Courses held by the Department/University nell’offerta formativa del Dipartimento/Ateneo
  2. A specific pathway activated in Piedmont by CIFIS

Departmental Courses

Ministerial Decree no. 616/2017 provides that credits of courses consistent in objectives and contents with the provisions of annexes A and B to the decree can be recognised as valid.

The Department of Humanities recognises, as consistent with Ministerial Decree 616/2017 and its annexes, the courses contained in the file "PRE-COMPETITION Teachings Disum" (attached below)

These credits can be chosen by the student as part of their study plan or can be acquired after graduation as single exams.
